Description
Series KV104 MCT photodiodes are designed for wide
electrical bandwidth applications. The maximum bandwidth is limited only by detector size, which determines
RC time constant. [This series is different form the KLD series, where the response time is limited by the diffusion time.] A 100 um pixel size detector is capable of 100MHz bandwidth operation or greater.
The spectral response characteristics are determined by the MCT bandgap selected. Standard ranges are 2-12 um, 2 - 8 um and 2 - 4.5 um.
The responsivity at 11um is greater than 4 Amp/Watt and D* (peak, 10kHz, 60FOV) is greater than 3 x 1010 Jones. Note the smaller size detectors with wide bandwidth amplifiers may be amplifier noise limited.
The E Dewar is a side-looking LN2 pour-filled Dewar with an AR coated ZnSe window and 12 hour hold time. |
